Ok then, we have a great squad of players, in fact over 125 seniors and 20+ juniors. Their mothers and fathers decided to give them names that they liked, we as a club, however, know some of them differently.
Please use this section of YOUR web to let us know who is also known as what, (I have negotiated a special deal for extra space to include all of Mr Pike's entries)
Enjoy

AKA Plummy... This nickname stuck like s*** to a blanket. Some people now hardly use my given name.

If anyone was wondering how Skinners and Kiwi came to be so, then I shall fill you in and claim responsibility.
About 10 years ago now, back in the days of GEC U13's cricket, someone remarked on how fetching Mr Coleman's skin-tight whites were- they became somewhat legendary.
His name began as Skintight, but I evolved it slightly to appeal to a broader audience and thus 'Skinners' was born.
The latest step in his evolution is to dog status. Skin-dog- being his current go by amongst OL's.
The other OL's nickname I lay claim to is 'Kiwi'. A fresh-faced 16 year old Mark Wilson joined Lawrence Sheriff in the 6th form, and made an immediate impression with his wiriness and confidence (which unfortunately later became arrogance) on our pre-season training tour to Chester. Suitably impressed after our first sighting, and also noting his strange Daventry/New Zealand accent, as well as All Black's Rugby shirt it was suggested that something based along those lines would be appropriate. Myself and Robert Kerrigan- senior figures- put our heads together. He came up with Zin-Zan, and I came up with Kiwi. I suggested that Zin-Zan was a bit to flattering.
The rest as they say is history.
Mark Cresswell, by the way, is known by close friends as either Gonzo or Snout (rather than the pretty tame 'Crezza'), should you wish to continue this.
Love the stuff about Fingers and Toes by the way. My sister used to go out with Fingers which prompted me to wonder if he was called that because of his manual dexterity.......

Just out of interest, can anyone confirm whether Mark Cresswell is a stripper in his spare time? One of my friends was informed by him that it is his 2nd job! Lynz

Mark Cresswell does perform as a stripper but only as a hobby. for a shiny pound coin he can normally be persuaded to lose his shirt. Last instance was in a Newcastle nightclub last weekend where he performed for a group of 30 lucky ladies on a hen night. their screams attracted the management... Mark sadly failed to get laid. If his girlfriend reads this, he definitely wasnt trying to either. honestly.
